The beer that was banned from being sold at the last Oktoberfest, in Blumenau, will be available in draft beer and in cans at the Craft Beer Festival. The drink, which has a terpene identical to that of cannabis sativa in its composition, does not contain illegal substances and has the necessary registrations with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa).
According to the Blumenau company Balbúrdia Cervejaria, Balbúrdia Hemp has aromas similar to cannabis and is derived from botanical terpenes extracted from flowers and other plants, and also from hops, having no psychoactive principle. Such beers are legally marketed in Brazil and in other countries, being innovative from a sensory point of view and bringing a tasting experience to artisan beer lovers. “Despite the controversies generated in Blumenau with Balbúrdia Hemp, we always try to bring news to this event that is always planned for the whole family”, reveals organizer Kleiton Hames.
