Continuing the series of visits to the town halls of the municipalities in the consortium in this first week of management, the new president of Pró-Sinos and mayor of Sapucaia do Sul, Volmir Rodrigues, met this Thursday morning (5/1) with the Mayors Flavio Foss, from Araricá, and Carina Nath, from Sapiranga. At the meeting, both municipalities signed the apportionment contract that confirms their permanence in the consortium in 2023.
Another theme dealt with was the partnership between Pró-Sinos and Caixa Econômica Federal in structuring the solid waste management concession. Araricá is one of the 14 municipalities that have joined the proposal since it was signed in August last year.
Like Cachoeirinha and Canoas, which have indicated that they are joining the process, Sapiranga is another municipality that will evaluate adherence to the partnership. A City Hall team will analyze the possibility and decide on the matter shortly.
The series of agendas of the new president of Pró-Sinos, elected on December 20th, to the consortium municipalities, began on Tuesday (1/3) in Capela da Santana and continued on Wednesday, in Cachoeirinha and Canoas, and this Thursday , in Araricá and Sapiranga. Meetings will continue next week, with appointments yet to be confirmed.
“These were very productive meetings. In addition to signing the apportionment contract and the partnership in the area of solid waste management, we make permanent environmental education programs developed by the consortium with the communities available to municipalities, which are important tools for the preservation of the Rio dos Sinos watershed. ”, highlighted Rodrigues.
