This Thursday, May 30, Paramount+ will exclusively premiere the original South Korean psychological thriller series The Pyramid Gamewith Kim Jiyeon (Twenty-Five, Twenty-One; BONA, Cosmic Girls) in its main cast. The production will premiere with 10 episodes on the premium streaming platform.
Em O Pyramid Game, Seong Su-ji is a new student at Baekyeon Girls’ High School. Between bullies, studies and the fight for popularity, high school becomes a game of survival for Su-ji. But when presented with a classification system that elects those excluded from the class by secret ballot, Su-ji must decide whether to accept his status and its violent consequences, or lead a revolt against the Pyramid Game.
O Pyramid Game stars actress and singer Kim Jiyeon (Twenty-Five, Twenty-One; Cosmic Girls BONA), Jang Da A, Ryu Da In, Shin Seul Ki and Kang Na Eon. The series is directed by Bak So Yeon (The Celestial Idol) and written by Choi Sui.
After the acclaimed BARGAIN and CURSE LUCKY DAY, Pyramid Game is the next project developed by Paramount+ and TVING through a partnership between Paramount and leading entertainment company CJ ENM. In Korea, Paramount+ is a brand of TVING, a streaming platform affiliated with CJ ENM that currently operates in that country. The deal also allows Korean content to flow to Paramount’s overseas streaming operations. Pyramid Game is produced by Film Monster and CJ ENM STUDIOS and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
