Solidarity with those affected by the floods continues at Pontal Shopping, in Porto Alegre, which is now one of the support points for the Hospital de Campanha Veterinário do Gasologista. In the structure set up at the Shopping Center by volunteers and NGOs, there is a Veterinary ICU to care for rescued animals that need urgent care and can be transferred from Gasologista to Pontal quickly. The support on site represents yet another hope for the animals that are also victims of this moment that Rio Grande do Sul is facing.
The ICU was structured in the basement of Pontal Shopping, which provided an area of its parking lot to facilitate the action. Volunteers and donations of veterinary care equipment are currently needed, such as: surgical box, oximeter, scales, IV pole, medicine cabinets, glucose meter, heart monitors, support table for the operating room, blood pressure meter, between others.
On the Instagram profile @sos.pontalshopping you can follow information about the space maintained by volunteers. Pontal Shopping also continues to collect donations to help those affected by the floods. Animal feed, drinking water, non-perishable food and hygiene items are among the main needs at the moment.
