The Chamber of Store Managers (CDL) of Sapiranga provided a technical visit to the Instituto Caldeira, in Porto Alegre, this Tuesday (23. The action, organized by CDL Jovem, included the participation of 20 young entrepreneurs from the region, offering give them the opportunity to get to know the structure and initiatives of the Caldeira Institute up close.
During the visit, participants had the opportunity to explore different work areas, interaction spaces and innovation environments, including a gaming cluster aimed at companies from Rio Grande do Sul that develop electronic games. The Geração Caldeira initiative was also highlighted, which aims to encourage and include work opportunities for young people and teenagers from public schools. The director of CDL Jovem Sapiranga, Adriano Navarini Rohde, emphasized the importance of empowering citizens and promoting access to innovation.
“We are experiencing the emergence of an environment of innovation in the city, exemplified by the Fly Hub project, located in an old factory recognized in the region. Furthermore, we have the Sapiranga Summit, an event that has grown in scale and importance, solidifying the city’s position as an innovation hub in the state. Therefore, it is important that we are here learning about opportunities for innovation and collaboration to foster economic and social progress in our region,” he stated.
Luciane Brito, Community Manager at Instituto Caldeira, shared the importance of the institution’s strategic location, located at the entrance to the city and close to an airport, which facilitates access and mobility for the entire metropolitan region.
The Caldeira Institute, which completed three years of operation on March 26, has a structure on three floors and a total area of 22 thousand square meters. Founded by 42 private companies and with 480 community members, it is a space dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship.
