Picada Café holds the 3rd edition of the Domingo com Bandinha project on May 5th, bringing music and culture to those who frequent the city’s colonial restaurants and cafes.
After featuring Banda Baila Baila in the first two editions, this year the presentations will be by Banda os Parentes, which should infect locals and visitors with joy and excitement.
The first presentations, starting at 11:30 am on May 5th, will include Restaurante Tia Nica, Dahmer Haus Café Colonial, Restaurante Reichert and Tenda do Guri. Also part of the project are Tenda do Umbu, Mini Café Colonial Encosta da Serra, Stein Haus, Sociedade Aliança, Rodeio Café Colonial e Pizzeria, Casa Schmitt Restaurante and Café Colonial Rota.
The Secretary of Education and Culture, Cristiane Backes Welter, says that the Domingo com Bandinha Project promotes cultural entertainment for residents, but also the preservation of musical tradition and provides opportunities for local musicians to perform. Furthermore, it contributes to promoting a sense of community to celebrate one of the municipality’s shared cultural identities.
