These will be the attractions of the second edition of the Esteio em Dança Festival, an event that will be promoted by the Municipal Department of Culture, Sport and Leisure (SMCEL) on April 27th. The performances start at 2pm at Casa de Cultura Lufredina Araújo Gaya (Rua Padre Felipe, 900 – Centro).
The event is free, but the organizers ask for the donation of one kilo of non-perishable food that will be donated to families in economic and social vulnerability.
The festival will feature performances in the styles of Freestyle, Jazz, Contemporary Dance, Popular Dances, Urban Dances, Classical Ballet and Classical Repertoire Ballet. The time for each presentation varies between three and four minutes. In total, there will be 39 different choreographies and more than 200 dancers from Esteio, Guaíba and São Leopoldo on stage.
Esteio em Dança is an action to value art and will not be held in the form of a competition – there will be no jury. Everyone will receive a certificate of participation, medals and trophy. Artists from the categories baby (three to eight years old), children (nine to 12 years old), youth (13 to 15 years old), senior (16 to 17 years old), adult (18 to 59 years old) and seniors (from 60 years).
