The Gaúcho Traditionalist Movement (MTG) is preparing for another edition of Entrevero Cultural de Peões, which celebrates Gaucho culture and youth, taking place on April 18, 19 and 20 in Entre-Ijuís and Santo Ângelo.
With the aim of electing young male representatives of the tradition, the Entrevero Cultural de Peões brings together around 1,000 participants, including the Piá (child), Guri (youth) and Peão (adult) categories, covering all entities affiliated to the MTG. During the event, participants are assessed on historical and geographical knowledge, artistic skills and, especially, knowledge and resourcefulness in rural activities.
The event will feature 48 competitors and will bring together 25 Traditionalist Regions of RS. For Iara Vanice Rott, president of the Organizing Committee of the 35th Entrevero Cultural de Peões, the initiative is important to enhance Gaucho culture.
“Entrevero is important to value our culture, encourage children and young people to increasingly be part of the traditionalist environment, as well as the tourist area of our missionary region, which is being widely publicized”, he reports.
For this edition, Cesar Augusto Gallert Felipin and Lucas Dayran Vieira were chosen as godparents, who have already distinguished themselves in Gaucho traditionalism.
