The XV Border International Film Festival takes place from April 23 to 27 in Bagé, Sant’Ana do Livramento and Rivera with completely free programming.
The event includes seven feature films in competition, seven films in special screenings and 51 short films, as well as musical performances, debates, workshops and an audiovisual market. This year’s honorees are filmmaker Lucrecia Martel, the biggest name in Argentine cinema, and Flávio Bauraqui, a renowned theater and film actor from Santa Maria. In addition to national titles, the selection of feature films brings together productions from Chile and Argentina, several of them new.
This year, the XV Border International Film Festival has the master sponsorship of Petrobras, through the Petrobras Cultural Program, and resources from the Culture Incentive Law – Rouanet Law, Ministry of Culture, Federal Government. The event has the support of Claro, institutional support from IFSul, URCAMP, UNIPAMPA, UTEC, Destino Binacional, Jornal Minuano and FRAPA. The promotion is by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Bagé, the production by Anti Filmes and Maristela Ribeiro Produções, and the creation of the Vila Santa Thereza Historic Center and Associação Pró-Santa Thereza.
