The Rui Barbosa Municipal Library, in Esteio, announced the activities scheduled for the month of April. The activities begin on the 11th, at 7pm, with the launch of the book “O Rei da Coxilha (indigenous legends in comics)”, by writer Michel Alexandre da Silva Carlos.
In celebration of Children’s Book Day, a storytelling event will be held at the Library, on the 18th, at 3pm, for students from the Municipal School of Early Childhood Education (Emei) Trem da Alegria. On the 19th, the commemorative date of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a legend telling will be held at 10:30 am, also for Trem da Alegria students and other interested people.
On April 22nd, from 9am to 6pm, the 2nd Book Donation Fair of this year will be held, with around one hundred copies for donation. The last agenda of the month will be an announcement of Library services at the Escola Municipal de Educação Básica (Emeb) Tomé de Souza, on the 25th, at 10:30 am.

Residents of Esteio can join the Municipal Library and take home, free of charge, borrowed books and other materials. To do this, you must present an identity document or birth certificate and proof of residence. Up to two books, two magazines and six comic books can be picked up, which must be returned or renewed within 10 days. In addition to in person, renewal can be done by phone (2700-4357 – extension 2144) or WhatsApp (99352-8701).
The Library is located at Rua Padre Felipe, 900 – Centro, and is open from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 6pm.
