Baw Clothing brought together Oscar Schmidt and Hortencia Marcari, two of the greatest athletes in Brazilian basketball, for the campaign for its new Sports Vintage collection. The new line follows the retro sports aesthetic, reflecting the essence of sport through Baw’s DNA in pieces ranging from sweatshirts and jackets to pants and accessories.
The choice of Oscar and Hortencia to star in this launch was due both to their renown in the Brazilian sports scene and to their cultural relevance and authenticity. At the same time that they inspire younger generations as icons of national sport, they evoke fond memories of the time when they dominated the courts.
The collection remains faithful to the brand’s identity while making reference to the style of the 80s and 90s, featuring Baw’s classic sweatshirts in colorblock and monochromatic options, with a highlight on the Cropped Sherpa Flower Hoodie, sewn inside out, with texture shag and raglan armhole. Two jackets also take the spotlight: the Turtleneck Panel Sports Vintage, with several signatures spread across the piece, and the Future Jacket Sports Vintage, a puffer model with built-in magnetic button closure and internal straps, which allow you to carry it like a backpack .
Silhouettes and color patterns appear in pants models, such as the Flip Panel Sports Vintage, sewn inside out to create a plush texture. The piece has contrasting details and a rubberized signature. The five t-shirt models, both short and long sleeves, also appear with contrasting details and different colors that give a sporty and retro touch.
Accessories are another essential part of the collection, including two models of caps – one with a deconstructed model and an embroidered signature and the other with a five panel style and a rubberized signature. The two fanny packs, both large and with strategic pockets, complete the Sports Vintage look for a naturally impactful look.
