This Thursday (21), Andresa Boni and Luiz Felipe Pondé talk, at Linhas Cruzadas, about “Boteco Philosophy”. The program, which airs from 10pm on TV Cultura, highlights the maxims that come from popular culture, the ramblings that everyone makes about life, what philosophy brings us and how it appears in our daily lives.
Andresa and Pondé discuss the definition of philosophy and how people see it. They also address the relevance of philosophical maxims, questioning whether these moral sentences maintain their validity over time and in different societies.
Based on an article that highlights the philosophy present in bar conversations, the presenters debate how profound ideas can appear in popular phrases full of wisdom and how much philosophy there is in them.
Finally, they discuss maxims from renowned philosophers, such as Blaise Pascal and Nietzsche, and how they emerged and became popular.
The edition also features a testimony from professor Renato Janine Ribeiro about the importance of popular wisdom, which is filled with philosophy.
