Traditional place for crafts, arts and antiques in Porto Alegre, Brique da Redenção is held on Sundays, along Avenida José Bonifácio, in the Bom Fim neighborhood. The place attracts people from all over the state in search of unique objects full of history.
Artisans interested in promoting their art at the Sunday fair can register for free until April 10th, at the headquarters of the Municipal Secretariat for Economic Development and Tourism (SMDET) located at Travessa São José, nº 455, Navegantes neighborhood, from 2pm to 5pm. The SMDET notice has 47 vacancies, 20% of which are for people with disabilities.
To register, you must bring the original and a copy of your identity card (or other identification document with photo); FGTAS artisan card (updated) or protocol issued by Casa do Artesão; and proof of residence (in the name of the candidate for the vacancy or declaration).
The public selection for Brique da Redenção takes place on April 16th, with a display of works and analysis of criteria such as creativity, originality and technique. More information at the Development Unit (Ufom), of SMDET, by e-mail [email protected].
