Ivoti’s 2nd Easter officially opened last Saturday, the 16th, an occasion that marked the inauguration of the Osterbaum Path, a corner with eleven Osterbaums (Easter trees) decorated by the municipalities of the Romantic Route.
The activity is part of the calendar commemorating the Bicentenary of German Immigration in Brazil and relied on the creativity of the municipalities to display some of their main characteristics on the trees. Santa Maria do Herval, for example, brought the representation of potatoes, São Leopoldo the Germanic culture, Morro Reuter the colors of lavender, among others.
“The municipalities bought the idea and tried, in some way, to bring a little bit of their city to their Osterbaum. Osterbaum making is so strong in Germany and we want to encourage this tradition here too”, highlights Terezinha Marina Kuhn Haas, president of the Associação Rota Romântica.
The Osterbaums exhibition remains until March 31st, when the Easter program in Ivoti ends. The event takes place at Núcleo de Casas Enxaimel, with free entry.
