Ducati Brasil calls on the owners of the XDiavel and XDiavel S motorcycles (listed in the table below), manufactured between 2016 and 2022, to check and possibly replace the passenger seat backrest.
The action will begin this Monday (18), across the entire Ducati dealer network in Brazil. Analysis has shown that in exceptional situations, if the passenger seat backrest has not been installed correctly, the fixing screws may loosen, causing the component to crack or break.
Improper use of the backrest – if the passenger leans exclusively on the backrest – can also create a risk of cracking or breaking the component and resulting in the passenger falling if they are not holding onto the pilot or the specific restraint strap.
During the inspection, the passenger seat backrest will be checked for cracks or breaks and the component will be reinstalled in accordance with the procedures indicated by the manufacturer.
The back of the passenger seat will receive a warning sticker instructing the consumer on the correct use of the component.
Even if the chassis number of the Ducati motorcycle falls within the range listed above, if the passenger seat backrest has not been purchased and installed, the motorcycle is not subject to repair.
Service scheduling and service:
Visit the website www.ducati.com/br and find the nearest Ducati Dealership or Ducati Authorized Workshop and schedule the service, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
