Florianópolis will host the exhibition Arte Catarinense – preserved memory from Thursday, March 21st. The exhibition brings together works by 13 artists and will be at Helena Fretta Galeria de Arte, located at Rua Presidente Coutinho, 532, in the center of Florianópolis. With free entry, the exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 6pm and on Saturdays, from 10am to 1pm, until April 20th.
With more than 30 years of history in Florianópolis, the Helena Fretta Art Gallery will host another edition of the exhibition ‘Arte Catarinense – preserved memory’ from March 21st. The opening, with free entry, will be from 7pm.
According to gallerist Helena Fretta, in this edition, 60 works will be presented, including paintings, drawings and sculptures that were produced between 1959 and 2014, by 13 deceased artists. The works of collectors and rarities, which are part of the Helena Fretta collection, will be available for purchase.
Preserved memory
In the exhibition it will be possible to see up close works by: Aldo Beck (1919-1999), Eli Heil (1929-2017), Elke Hering (1940-1994), Hassis (1926-2001), Malinverni Filho (1913-2001), Martinho de Haro (1907-1985), Meyer Filho (1919-1991), Paulo Gaiad (1953-2016), Pléticos (1924-2020), Rodrigo de Haro (1939-2021), Schwanke (1951-1992), Valda Costa ( 1951-1993) and Willy Zumblick (1913-2008).
They are artists born in Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, France and in the former Yugoslavia, now Croatia, who gained notoriety and are part of the history of arts in Santa Catarina.
