The project is promoted by the State Department of Culture (Sedac), through the State Institute of Music (IEM) and Casa de Cultura Mário Quintana, with support from the Municipal Department of Culture and Creative Economy. Entry is free.
The first edition of Natividade em Cena aims to celebrate Rio Grande do Sul music and the Rio Grande do Sul identity, uniting past and present and valuing the state’s musical traditions in the current cultural scenario. The resumption of this musical style has marked the contemporary scene, through the growing participation of a new generation of artists and enthusiasts who embrace the native Gaucho folk sound, rooted in the tradition and culture of Rio Grande do Sul.
The Natividade em Cena project seeks to contribute to this new movement, which, by revitalizing nativist music, preserves the state’s sound richness and reinvents it, through new perspectives and influences. There will be a constant presence of special guests, in order to guarantee an authentic and immersive experience for all lovers of Gaucho culture.
