The 14th Confraria SG Gramado Barbecue Festival is scheduled for Saturday, March 23rd, starting at 11am, at Arena SG, located in Serra Grande, in the interior of the municipality. Held every six months, the Confraria SG Gramado Barbecue Festival is already part of the city’s Official Calendar of Events and has established itself as the main barbecue festival in Serra Gaúcha.
The event organizers expect around 1,500 participants for an event with 150 of the best roasters from Brazil and abroad. They will be distributed across 15 different roast stations, highlighting the international participation of Ascribu and Búfalos El Dourado. The international station will feature an entire buffalo and will be led by Argentine chef Saulo Morinigo from Corrientes, Argentina.
Other confirmed stations are: burger station, vegetarian, special sausages, choripan, ribs, wagyu, lamb, menarosto, matambrito, suckling pig, panceta, chicken and risottos.
In the open barbecue and open beer format, participants will be able to serve themselves at the stations, learn about different roasting techniques and interact with the roasters.
In total, the event in March should serve around two tons of barbecue. The event has 2,000 parking spaces and is expected to distribute more than 10,000 liters of draft beer.
The event is focused on excellent gastronomy but will also have musical attractions with shows by the duo Lucas & Felipe, the band The Travelers and DJ Michele Wender.
The location of Confraria SG is Arena SG, at Estrada Serra Grande, 3550 – Bairro Serra Grande – Gramado. The initiative is from the Gramadian company SG Facas Artesanais, with 16 years of experience in the market and leader in artisanal cutlery in the south of the country, in partnership with Schima Assador.
