The public health structure of Campo Bom will gain a basic health unit in the Morada do Sol neighborhood. The municipality was awarded resources from the Federal Government through the Novo PAC Seleções, which foresees an investment of R$ 23 billion in works throughout Brazil , including the construction of 1,800 new health units.
According to Mayor Luciano Orsi, the investment was made possible by the effective work of the municipal administration in raising funds and is extremely important to further decentralize primary care, reaching all rural residents.
UBS Morada do Sol will be added to thirteen health units that already serve the population in the neighborhoods, in addition to the Centro Vida Drª Nelcy Orsi, the largest public complex of medical specialties in the region, the Hospital Dr. Lauro Reus (HLR), the Emergency Room (PA) and the Mother and Child Center (CMI), spaces that make the Campo Bom public health network one of the best and most complete in RS.
The new unit should be built on Av. Protázio Machaski, on the corner of Rua Avelino Monaco. The building, measuring approximately 186 m², will have four offices, one of which is dental, a vaccination, screening and dressing room. The Municipality is now awaiting the release of the resource to begin the work, which does not yet have a date to happen.
