Armory launches its 2024 winter collection. Using essential and timeless pieces, the line represents a powerful and authentic woman with perfect modeling, exclusive prints and premium materials.
“For our second collection, we were inspired by Bertolucci’s work, ‘The Dreamers’. This line is an ode to youthful audacity, to the audacity of the freedom to love freely and to the insolence of living your own dreams. Because it takes courage to be what you want to be, that is: to be revolutionary. We present wide, fluid models, with the presence of puffed sleeves and ruffles that add a touch of drama and elegance to the pieces. Even in a dreamy mood, the classic and nostalgic streak of the Armory woman remains, which is seen in the emphasis on tailoring and straight shapes”, says Fabio Yukio, founder and creative director of the brand.
The appreciation of the woman’s lap also appears as a key element, highlighting the femininity and sophistication of much of the collection, in addition to elaborate embroidery. Stonework, slits, off-the-shoulder pieces, maxi bows on shirts, ties, organzas, as well as a mix of tight-fitting pieces and oversized pieces are other elements present in the launch. The collection also consists of tailoring items in the classic pinstripe print and pieces constructed with an innovative knitting printing technique.
For this collection, each piece served as a canvas where ethereal nuances, such as green and lilac, merge. Among the tones are neutrals such as off white, rosé, caramel and black, as well as vibrant blue and gold. For materials, noble and varied, created from high standard natural fibers, such as linen, silk, knit, velvet, cold wool, cotton, leather and viscose georgette, which guarantee comfort, durability and elegance.
In the prints, with their sinuous and playfully hand-painted shapes, the brand presents the maximum expression of dreams and unforgettable memories through three exclusive rapports. The first, Damask, available in blue background and white background, closely associated with fabrics and tapestries, is characterized by ornamental patterns that resemble floral and geometric motifs in relief. Its origins date back to the city of Damascus, which was an important center of silk and textile production during the Middle Ages. Being a print appreciated for its classic and timeless appeal, it brings a glimpse of vintage and a character of elegance.
The second print, Paisley, available in black, off white, caramel, green and rosé backgrounds, is an ornamental pattern that has historical roots in the ancient East and was revisited in the 60s and 70s, marked by designs of distorted leaves with flowers. The third family is called Floral, available in black, off white, rosé and green backgrounds, and is marked by ornaments that borrow from art nouveau aesthetics, inspired by dreams of bucolic and romantic landscapes.
Monochromatic sets, pants, tank tops, blouses, shirts, blazers, skirts, cropped tops, dresses, jumpsuits and trench coats are part of the line and add to the collection by being completely easy to combine. Fluid fabrics add grace to gowns, kaftans and chemises.
