Student falls ill and dies while being treated at a private hospital in Matão
On Wednesday night (28), in Matão, Beatriz Scabello felt unwell and died while being treated at a private hospital. Her body was sent to the SVO.
Beatriz Scabello, an 18-year-old medical student, passed away after feeling unwell on Wednesday (28), in Matão (SP). The Américo Brasiliense Death Verification Service (SVO) is investigating the cause.
Uniara, in Araraquara (SP), decided to suspend the course classes on Thursday (29) as a sign of mourning, after the death that caused great commotion in the region.
During treatment at a private hospital in Matão, the young woman had a cardiac arrest at night after feeling ill.
Her body was cremated on Thursday afternoon (29).
“Rest in peace, Bia. May God give the necessary comfort to your parents and family. When a mother loses a child, we all lose a little too”, posted a friend.
Uniara (University of Araraquara) expressed sadness over Beatriz’s death and, as a result, the course coordination decided to suspend classes on Thursday.
“We inform you all that medical classes are suspended today, so that we can pay our last respects in saying goodbye to these two beloved creatures, who shared brief or long stories of their lives with us.”
Uniara Medicine Athletics also released a mourning statement on its social networks and suspended activities.
“It is with great regret that we received the news of the death of our collection Beatriz Scabelo, student of the 29th Class of Medicine in Araraquara”. See the statement below:
