Lajeado opens the celebrations of the Bicentenary of German Immigration in Brazil this Saturday (2), with the 7th edition of Sommerfest. The event, promoted by the German Culture Center in partnership with Lajeado City Hall, takes place in the Historic Park, with a typical dinner, starting at 7pm, and a dance with Super Banda Real, from Nova Petrópolis.
The event is part of the official program of the State Government’s calendar of events and also bears the seal commemorating 200 years of German Immigration, celebrated on July 25th.
The 7th edition of Sommerfest will feature artistic performances by folk dance groups, dancing and a typical dinner. The menu includes meat dumplings, sauerkraut, pasta with sauce, steamed potatoes, roast pork and various salads.
