The renowned Instituto Lapidare, a pioneering medical center specialized in plastic surgery, dermatology and high-end aesthetics, based in Balneário Camboriú (SC), expanded its horizons by inaugurating its second and imposing unit last weekend, this time in São Paulo (SP), bringing together important names in medicine in Brazil at the event entitled Academia de Speakers. The doctor with a post-graduate degree in Dermatology and Tricology, Dr. Carol Berger, from Florianópolis, was one of the guests, becoming part of the senior management of the institution that has established itself as an international reference for training in the area of medical aesthetics, joining the team of “Speakers of the Future”.
Carol Berger was present at the invitation of the founder and CEO of the Lapidare Institute, Flavia Del Valle, and was alongside other big names in medicine – and also Lapidare “Speakers” – such as Priscila Barreto and Danilo Talarico, both postgraduate coordinators of Trichology and Hair Transplant, and trichologist Ligia Piffer.
The event that took place in São Paulo last weekend was focused on topics such as medical marketing, image positioning and how artificial intelligence can help healthcare professionals, especially those working in the beauty sector, to offer increasingly better service. more complete, empathetic and personalized.
New phase, new challenges
Carol also highlights that she has been going through an important phase of self-knowledge and personal development, which has directly impacted her professional life. “I feel increasingly attracted to academic life. Since I started at Instituto Lapidare – at the time, still as a student – this universe has enchanted me again, and the passion for constantly learning and sharing knowledge has fascinated me more and more”, highlights Carol Berger.
The doctor from Santa Catarina joined as a student, then was invited to take over as a monitor for postgraduate courses, then, in the last year, she rose to the position of senior monitor and now, at the invitation of CEO Flavia Del Valle, she takes on a new challenge as an assistant doctor at the Lapidare Institute in Balneário Camboriú.
Carol Berger will be responsible for and care for all patients post-operatively. Currently, there are four postgraduate courses offered at the Institute: Face Design, focusing on injectables; Cosmiatry and Laser; Intimate rejuvenation; and Trichology and Hair Transplantation. “The doctors on the Lapidare faculty come from different regions of the country and even abroad, and the teachers come exclusively for classes and their students are, therefore, under the supervision of an assistant doctor. Thus, I now provide medical assistance to all patients who undergo procedures at the Institute, which is a great responsibility, a great achievement and, without a doubt, another important milestone in my career”, says Dr Carol Berger.
New office
To crown the new and busy phase, the doctor officially opened her new office this week, now in a larger room and with all the comfort that her patients deserve. “I’m still in the same building, in the Pátio Milano building, in the heart of the city of Florianópolis, but now with more space and all the quality I’ve always ensured in my services”, concludes Carol Berger.
