Porto Alegre is preparing to host the 11th edition of Artesanal Sul, an event that has already established itself as a landmark in the manual arts circuit in the South of Brazil. From March 13th to 16th, the BarraShoppingSul Events Center will open its doors to more than 50 exhibitors, coming from states such as Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul itself. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore a variety of materials, take advantage of special prices, discover launches in the sector and be inspired by new trends .
Since its debut in 2012, the fair has grown significantly, attracting a diverse audience, including more than 80,000 visitors in the last decade. This year, more than 9 thousand people are expected to attend, in addition to approximately 60 excursions from different regions. The fair is not only a meeting place for locals, but also attracts enthusiasts from all over the country.
Artesanal Sul stands out for its ability to unite the industry and commerce of manual arts, with the presence of renowned brands such as Círculo S/A, Fisher Fios, Feltro Santa Fé, Cake Scrap Brasil and Brother International Corporation do Brasil. These companies bring the best of the textile industry and manual arts, including new products in felt, scrapbooking and sewing and embroidery technologies.
In addition to the direct impact on the manual arts sector, the event also contributes to the region’s creative economy, encouraging entrepreneurship, especially among the female audience, which represents 70% of participants. The fair not only generates business opportunities, but also creates jobs, with WR São Paulo hiring more than 1,100 professionals to assemble and disassemble the event structure.

This year’s edition also features two new exhibitions from WR ART Galeria. The first, “South in Tune: Connections without Borders”, offers a cultural journey through the works of 17 southern artists. The second, “Artesãos II”, inspired by the book by Wander Mazotti, presents a collection of works that recreate iconic figures such as Marie Curie, Machado de Assis and Pagu, through different artistic techniques. These exhibitions promise to enrich visitors’ experience, showcasing the versatility and creativity of Brazilian artists.
