This Saturday (17), 16 football teams take to the field to compete in the second round of the 2024 Estância Velha Interbairros Championship. The first round held last Saturday (10) was marked by sun, heat and a rain of goals. The scorers were inspired and scored 30 goals, delighting the public who attended the first round which took place in four fields (Estância, Tiradentes, Flor da Rosa and Rincão Gaúcho). The 2024 Estância Velha Interneighborhood Championship is promoted by the Estância Velha City Hall, through the Secretariat of Security, Sport and Wellbeing (SESEBE) and the Municipal Sports Coordination (CMD), in partnership with Sesc. Games start simultaneously on all four fields at 2pm, followed by the second game at 4pm.
Regulation
In the first phase, the teams face each other within their brackets, in a single round, with the two best teams in each bracket qualifying for the quarter-finals. The quarter-final phase clashes are also already defined with the following games: 1st A x 2nd B, 1st B x 2nd A, 1st C x 2nd D, 1st D x 2nd C. The four winners face each other in the semi-final of the competition moving on to the grand final which takes place on March 23rd.
