The Unimed Nacional health plan deaccredited 37 hospitals in the DF and in four states: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Maranhão. According to the provider, the interruption in hospital care and services begins on March 4th.
The measure affects care in the emergency service, or general care in the health unit, amid a dengue outbreak that affects several states in the country and has overwhelmed public and private hospitals.
According to the Ministry of Health, the country has already recorded 512,353 probable cases of the disease this year. There are 75 deaths caused by dengue already confirmed and another 340 under investigation.
In the Federal District, Hospital Águas Claras, Hospital Alvorada, Hospital Brasília, Hospital Daher Lago Sul, Hospital Santa Lúcia, Hospital Santa Marta Asa Norte and Hospital São Mateus were deaccredited for the emergency service.
Hospital Anna Nery and Hospital do Coração will no longer serve individual and family plans, collective membership plans, corporate plans and small and medium-sized companies.
In São Paulo, the hospitals disqualified for emergency care are Albert Sabin, Dom Antonio de Alvarenga, dos Defeitos da Face, Paranaguá, Hospital Presidente, Hospital Santa Clara, Santa Rita, Hospital São Paulo, Hospital Vidas, Impar Serviços Hospitalares Filial Santa Paula and Leforte Kids.
The service under the plan will be suspended, in the state, at Hospital and Maternity Sao Luiz Unit Morumbi, Hospital IFOR, Hospital Ribeirão Pires, São Luiz Jabaquara, São Luiz São Caetano, Villa Lobos, Vivalle, Hospital da Criança, Hospital Anália Franco, Hospital Assunção , Hospital Bartira, Central Leste, Hospital and Maternity São Luiz Itaim Unit and Hospital Central do Tatuapé.
