The “ExpoCaps i” exhibition, an initiative by the Children and Youth Psychosocial Care Center (Caps i) Flor de Lótus, in Gravataí, opened this Tuesday (30). Open and free to the public, the exhibition takes place at Praça do Quiosque, in front of Dom João Becker Hospital, and the works will be on display until February 23rd, always from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
The exhibition features paintings on canvas, pictures and models made by children and adolescents treated by the specialized service of the Municipal Health Department (SMS) for reference in mental health for children under 18 years of age.
According to the service, “ExpoCaps i” aims to contribute to the self-esteem and self-confidence of the patients served through the exposure and appreciation of talents and different artistic expressions. Furthermore, it seeks to understand language as a form of expression and communication, as well as expanding the linguistic and literary repertoire of children and young people.
