Taquara begins this Saturday (27th) the Praiano 7-a-side Football Championship, a traditional sporting event that opens the calendar of competitions held by the Sports Directorate. All matches will be held at Balneário João Martins Nunes (Prainha), bringing together 25 teams, divided into Free and Veteran categories.
There will be 17 teams in the Free category, divided into the Gold and Silver series, and eight in the Veteran category. In the Gold Series, the following teams will participate: Vilarejo Remanso, União Mundo Novo, Embriagados/O Patrão Lanches, Cruzeiro/Táxi do Rafa, Amigos da Vila and Remanso/Rei do Gado.
For the Silver Series, the participating teams are: Copo Seco A, Copo Seco B, UTF, Vira Copos, Os Guris do 15, Baixada, Embriagados/Aqua World Piscinas, Embriagados/O Patrão Lanches, Amigos da Vila, Atlético Júnior and Tottenham. The teams in the Veteran category are: Fênix/Palmeiras, Vira Copos, Intoxicated, Intoxicated B, Copo Seco, Amigos da Bola, Palmeiras and Vila Nova.
Weekend games
The first round will be this Saturday (27th), starting at 2pm, with eight games. For the Gold Series, there will be clashes between Vilarejo Remanso and União Mundo Novo, Embriagados/O Patrão Lanches and Cruzeiro/Táxi do Rafa, and between Amigos da Vila and Remanso/Rei do Gado.
The other duels will be from the Silver Series, with the following games: Vira Copos and Baixada, Embriagados/O Patrão Lanches and Tottenham, Copo Seco A against Os Guris do 15, Embriagados B/Aqua World Piscinas facing Amigos da Vila, and Copo Seco B against UTF.
For the Veteran category, the games will be on Sunday (28), starting at 9am. The duel between Fênix/Palmeiras and Vira Copos begins the work, with a sequence of games between Copo Seco and Embriagados A, Embriagados B and Amigos da Bola, and Palmeiras and Vila Nova.
