The 35th Oktoberfest of Igrejinha is open for registration for candidates to become sovereigns of the 2024 event, the year in which the bicentenary of German immigration to Brazil will be celebrated.
Scheduled for April 20th, the contest seeks to value the beauty, culture, resourcefulness and communication of Igrejinhense women. It also aims to preserve Germanic traditions, providing leisure and fun for the population. The three chosen ones, one queen and two princesses, will have the mission of publicizing, promoting and representing Oktoberfest de Igrejinha.
How to sign up
Registration must be made by interested parties at the headquarters of the Associação de Amigos da Oktoberfest de Igrejinha (AMIFEST) next to Parque de Eventos Almiro Grings, on the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th and 7th of February, from 8am to 11:30am and from 1pm to 5:30 pm, and may end earlier if the 12 places are already filled.
When registering, the candidate must present a copy of the Identity Card and/or National Driver’s License certifying the candidate’s age; Copy of proof of residential address; Copy of proof of education; If she has an employment contract, she must present a declaration from the employer that she is aware of her participation in the Competition; and, once registered, she must sign the Term of Commitment.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
a) Be female;
b) Be born or naturalized Brazilian;
c) Be at least 20 years old on the day of registration and a maximum of 30 years old until the day of the Competition;
d) Being single (not having been married, not living in a stable relationship or residing at the same address as the romantic partner);
e) Not having children or being pregnant;
f) Be resident in Igrejinha, for at least 1 year, upon presentation of proof of residence;
g) Not have first-degree relatives with members of the AMIFEST Board of Directors;
h) Not be registered in another beauty contest and, if elected sovereign, not participate in other contests until her successor is chosen.
i) Not having been Sovereign of the Igrejinha Oktoberfest in previous editions.
j) If you have an employment contract, you must present a declaration from the employer that you are aware of your participation in the Competition;
k) Have completed secondary education;
l) Be available for preparatory activities and publicity for the event.
Workshop
Once the registration period has closed, the “Workshop der Kandidatinnen” will begin, which consists of a series of preparatory activities for the competition. The calendar will be presented by the Workshop organizing committee. On the day of the selection, which will take place on April 20th, the candidates will be evaluated on the criteria of beauty and friendliness; ease and elegance; Communication capacity; general knowledge; participation and involvement in the workshop.
