In bioam
As an innovation from Insider’s Research and Development department, the polyamide fabric in beachwear pieces has part of the raw material coming from vegetable and renewable sources, which is why it is called bioamide. Unlike the polyamide normally used in the fashion industry, which is 100% produced from petroleum (a non-renewable resource), almost 50% of the raw material used to produce the collection’s bioamide comes from corn biomass – not used for food purposes. and planted in infertile lands.
The emission of greenhouse gases in the production of bioamide is 50% lower and its dyeing time is reduced. Fewer dyes are used and the temperature is lower, which results in less waste and less energy consumption in the process. The manufacture of biomide also makes it possible to reuse water and reduces the treatment of affluents.
