The Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) announced this Friday, January 12th, its participation in the Unified Selection System (SiSU 2024) from the Ministry of Education, offering a total of 1,718 opportunities for admission to degree programs. The SiSU UFRGS 2024 Notice was also published (see here). Opportunities are for admission in 2024/1 and 2024/2 into 100 degree programs. Registration for SiSU 2024 will be from the 22nd to the 25th of January, and the result will be announced on the 30th. The Adhesion Term details the opportunities available at UFRGS, including the minimum grade required and the weight of each of the Enem tests for each program.
For SiSU UFRGS 2024, the distribution of opportunities offered for each program will be divided between General Competition and Reserve of Opportunities, with at least 50% of opportunities being allocated to Affirmative Actions. SiSU 2024 follows the changes to the Quota Law (Lei nº 12,711, from 2012) promoted by Law No. 14,723, of 2023, which reduces the per capita income used to fill part of the opportunities to 1 minimum wage (previously it was 1.5 minimum wages). Furthermore, quotas were established for self-declared quilombolas. In this case, the term provides for commissions to verify quilombola self-declaration. The quota modalities for the Affirmative Action opportunity reserve are as follows:
a) LB_EP modality – candidate who completed high school in the Public System with gross monthly family income equal to or less than 1.0 national minimum wage per capita;
b) LB_PPI modality – candidate who completed high school in the Public System with gross monthly family income equal to or less than 1.0 national minimum wage per capita, self-declared black, mixed race or indigenous;
c) LB_PCD modality – candidate who completed high school in the Public System with a gross monthly family income equal to or less than 1.0 national minimum wage per capita who is a person with a disability;
d) LB_Q modality – candidate who completed high school in the Public System with gross monthly family income equal to or less than 1.0 national minimum wage per capita, self-declared quilombola;
e) LI_EP modality – candidate who completed high school in the Public System regardless of family income;
f) modalidade LI_PPI – candidate who completed high school in the Public System regardless of family income, self-declared black, mixed race or indigenous;
g) LI_PCD modality – candidate who completed high school in the Public System, regardless of family income, who is a person with a disability;
h) LI_Q modality – candidate who completed high school in the Public System regardless of family income, self-declared quilombola.
