With a record 400 participating students, X Gramado in Concert opens Gramadotur’s official event program in 2024. From January 26th to February 3rd, Gramado will celebrate the emotions of the historic tenth edition of its international music festival. In nine days of programming, classical music will invade hotels and tourist attractions, such as Rua Coberta and the Expogramado Events Center.
In total, there will be 10 concerts by orchestras, bands and choirs, 14 concerts by chamber groups, eight traveling concerts in hotels and seven musical breaks, in addition to 10 training sessions for the public and recitals with students and teachers. All programming is entirely free to the public. The opening concert will be on Friday, January 26th, at 8pm, at Expogramado, with the Gramado Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Leandro Serafim.
Among the guest attractions, highlights include the Brazilian Air Force Symphony Orchestra, the Córdoba Philharmonic Orchestra, from Argentina, and the Canoas Air Base Music Band. Gramado will also welcome international groups, such as the Aukan Wind Quintet, from Chile, and the Nani Celloquartet Group, from Germany. Brazilians include the Acauã Quintet, from Bahia, the Amare Orchestra, from Minas Gerais, the Zahir Quartet, from São Paulo, the Brass Quintet from the Federal University of Ceará, and the NewChoro Group, also from Ceará.
Commemorative edition
According to the president of Gramadotur, Rosa Helena Volk, the tenth edition will be full of news. Expogramado, the festival’s main stage, will receive a communal space to mark the commemorative edition. In addition to musical performances, the events center will have a gastronomic area.
