The City of Estância Velha, through the Department of Health, promotes a free vaccination campaign against zoonoses. The action takes place on January 13th, at Praça 1º de Maio, in the Center, from 9am to 12pm.
A campaign is aimed at dogs and cats from three months of age. To participate, tutors must present proof of residence in Estância Velha, identification document and pet vaccination card (if you do not have one, the City Hall provides).
The vaccines offered are anti-rabieswhich protects against rabies, a fatal disease for both animals and humans, and multiple polyvalent, which protects against diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, canine coronavirus, canine infectious hepatitis, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza and leptospirosis.
The vaccination campaign is an important action to prevent zoonoses, which are infectious diseases transmitted between animals and people. Rabies, for example, is a serious illness that can lead to death.
