The Perdomo Doces bakery collected the batch of products that are being investigated after the death of two of the company’s customers in Goiânia, capital of Goiás, this Monday (12/18). A family ate a dessert from one of the store’s units this Sunday (12/17). Soon after, everyone presented symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain. Two family members ended up not resisting.
“Perdomo Doces informs that the batch of products investigated by the authorities has already been collected from all stores and that unrestricted access to all its units has been made available to supervisory bodies for inspections today [18/12]”, informed the sweet shop through its social networks.
Perdomo Doces has six stores spread across Goiânia, Anápolis and Brasília. The company announced that it has all the elements to prove to the responsible bodies that it adopts all the health protocols required by law.

Leonardo, his wife, Eliane Alves; his mother, Luzia Alves; and her daughter-in-law, Amanda Partata, who is pregnant, ate dessert at the Perdomo Doces store, on Sunday morning (12/17). However, in the early afternoon of the same day, everyone presented symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain.
Leonardo and his mother were admitted to Hospital Santa Bárbara, in Goiânia, where they remained until he died. Amanda reportedly ingested the product in smaller quantities and returned to her hometown, Itumbiara, in the south of Goiás.
The death of Leonardo and Luzia was confirmed by the family through social media. The elderly woman was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but did not survive.
The Goiás Civil Police (PCGO) reported that the case is investigated by the State Homicide Investigation Department and remains confidential. The cause of death was not disclosed.
