During her participation in the Financial Inspection and Control Commission (CFFC), the Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, avoided commenting on allegations of irregularities in the hiring, without a bidding process, of the company Auramedi for R$ 285.8 million for the purchase of immunoglobulin.
During the hearing this Tuesday (28), Nísia stated that the opposition is trying to cause fear in the population and spread ideas that are contrary to science.
According to information released by the Diário do Poder website, it was reported that the federal government signed a contract worth R$285.8 million with the company Auramedi, representative of Nanjing Pharmacare, without the need for a bidding process.
It is interesting to note that the pharmaceutical company selected by the Ministry had only one registered employee until March 2021 and a share capital of R$1.3 million. The president of Fiocruz declared that the company’s choice resulted in saving resources and that the TCU is investigating the process of acquiring human immunoglobulin. The information is from the Diário do Poder.
