Get ready for an afternoon of classical music in Porto Alegre with renowned pianist Sara Fleck. On November 29th, Wednesday, from 12:30 pm, Sara will be on stage at CHC Santa Casa (Av. Independência, 75) for a free recital. The repertoire includes masterful works by Beethoven, Villa-Lobos and Chopin.
This event is part of the Music to Breathe project, a joint initiative of the Music Department of the Institute of Arts (IA/UFRGS) and CHC Santa Casa, under the coordination of professor Amaury Iablonovski.
At just 22 years old, Sara Fleck already has a bachelor’s degree in Piano with Academic Honors from UFRGS, having been guided by professor André Loss. Born in Novo Hamburgo, Sara started playing the piano at the age of 12 and, in 2016, entered the Music Extension course at UFRGS, where she continued her studies for three years. At the age of 17, she began studying Music at IA/UFRGS, during which time she participated in the UFRGS Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently, in addition to giving piano lessons, Sara participates in masterclasses and performs recitals and concerts.
Sara has performed at prominent musical events, such as PUC/RS Pianos and the Young Pianists Series, in Cabo Frio (RJ). Her repertoire encompasses pieces by renowned composers, including Beethoven, Chopin, Bach and Villa-Lobos. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy this talented pianist’s performance!
