The continental region of Florianópolis hosts the Mercadão de Coqueiros in November. The venture, which brings together 22 operations operating in the gastronomy, services, leisure and products sectors, and also a Direto do Campo unit, will generate more than 200 direct job vacancies and boost the local economy. The opening to the public will be from 9 am on Tuesday, November 28th.
Located at Av. Engenheiro Max de Souza, 843, main street in the Coqueiros neighborhood, and close to the Centro Cultural do Continente Franklin Cascaes, the Health Center and Parque de Coqueiros, Mercadão comes to bring more convenience to those who live in the neighborhood and for those who value the comfort of doing everything in one place place.
The following operations have already been confirmed in the complex: Açadogue dos Amigos, Bake, Beira-Mar Peixaria, Café do Parque, Caldo de Cana and Pastéis do Nika, Cervejaria UNIKA, Contém Ovo, Delícias Portuguesas, Di Fatto Pastas and Molhos Artesanais, Direto do Campo , Hames Floriculture, Grauvi Suplementos, La Cave, Mi Piace Gelateria, Super Sorte Loteria, Massa Viva, New Up! Moda Fitness, Besen Orgânicos, Pacheco Frios e Laticínios, Queens Cell Acessórios, Tá Limpo Lavanderias, Vida Marinha Aquários and Vita Naturale Produtos Naturais.
According to the project’s director, Dyanine W. Besen, the idea of presenting such a diverse mix of operations aims to facilitate the customer’s routine and help resolve day-to-day needs.
“We want to be a market, just like traditional markets that bring together a diversity of operations. And that anyone who passes by our enterprise can, for example, not only buy fruit at Direto do Campo, but also take the opportunity to drink sugarcane juice, buy clothes for the gym, play the lottery and even enjoy the cuisine on offer” , highlights Dyanine.
Mercadão de Coqueiros opening hours will be from 7am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday. However, each operation will have specific opening hours. In addition to the operations on the ground floor, in the future the mezzanine will receive exclusively gastronomic operations and a kids space.
“We are prepared to present something new in the city, with quality operations and products. And we hope that soon our essence can be a reference for tourists who want to visit a market in our city”, adds Dyanine.
Straight from the Field
Founded by Elder Besen, Direto do Campo has been a reference for more than 30 years when it comes to quality fruit and vegetable products in Greater Florianópolis. Currently, Elder and his three sons Rafael Besen, Samuel Besen and Elder Besen Filho manage the seven stores located in Florianópolis (Agronômica, Saco dos Limões, Rio Tavares, Rio Vermelho, Santa Mônica and Armação) and in Palhoça (Ponte do Imaurim).
The 8th unit of Direto do Campo is part of the Mercadão de Coqueiros project designed by Rafael Besen, Elder’s eldest son. The Coqueiros store will be open from 7am to 9pm, Monday to Friday, Saturdays from 7am to 7pm and Sundays and holidays, from 7:30am to 7pm.
