The 25th edition of Fenakiwi, which will take place from July 4th to 21st, 2024, in Farroupilha, already has a new president. Businessman Juliano Tofolo was chosen this Thursday (16) by Mayor Fabiano Feltrin to lead the event.
Tofolo is vice-president of commerce at the Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Agribusiness (CICS) of Farroupilha and was previously president of the Chamber of Store Managers (CDL) in the city. He also has a strong connection with culture, having participated in musical groups in the region.
Mayor Feltrin highlighted Tofolo’s experience for the role. “Juliano is a well-known person and part of the Farroupilha community. He has a history of working with commerce and culture, which qualifies him to preside over Fenakiwi. I am sure he will do a great job, transforming our great party into a grand event that will be marked in history,” he said.
The new president thanked the invitation and stated that he intends to count on the participation of the entire community in organizing the event.
“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity and the invitation. It will be a great challenge to be president of the party that takes the name of Farroupilha everywhere. I want the entire community to get involved, so that we can create a Fenakiwi from Farroupilha to Farroupilha, attracting tourists, promoting our trade and valuing our products”, he commented.
In addition to the presidency, the other names of the Fenakiwi 2024 Organizing Committee were also announced this Thursday.
