On Friday night (10), Operation Balada Segura in Canoas intensified traffic inspection on Avenida Victor Barreto, in the city center. The operation resulted in the approach of 78 vehicles.
Of the vehicles approached, 49 were fined and 5 driver’s licenses were collected. Furthermore, 13 of the 15 drivers suspected of having alcohol levels refused to take a breathalyzer test. During the operation, 8 vehicles were sent to the municipal depot.
Operation Balada Segura is an inspection blitz carried out in areas with a high concentration of bars and nightclubs. The objective is to preserve lives and ensure traffic safety. The action is coordinated by the Traffic Directorate of the Municipal Department of Transport and Mobility, with the support of the Canoas Municipal Guard and the Military Brigade.
