As part of the XIII Entrepreneurship Week, the City of Caxias do Sul, through the Secretariat for Economic Development and Innovation (Sdei), paid tribute to local companies that completed significant milestones of 40, 50, 60 and 70 years in 2023. The event , which took place at the FSG theater, highlighted the city’s strong entrepreneurial DNA.
The Secretary of Sdei, Élvio Gianni, praised the city’s entrepreneurial spirit and mentioned the programs that the Secretariat has implemented to support local companies. Gianni also recognized the partner entities of the Municipal Entrepreneurship Week that nominated the companies to be honored.
Gianni stated: “The Tribute to Companies, during the Municipal Entrepreneurship Week, is the moment in which the Public Authorities value entrepreneurship in Caxias do Sul, given the number of CNPJ’s we have in the municipality. One in every six residents has a CNPJ, so, in fact, entrepreneurship is here, this is the best place to start a business.” He also highlighted people’s emotions upon receiving the honor on stage, noting that several generations of companies were present.
The ceremony was attended by several personalities, including vice-mayor Paula Ioris; the secretary of SDEI, Elvio Gianni; the president of Sindilojas, Rossano Boff; the president of SEGH, Marcos Ferronato; the vice-president of AANERGS, Jalila Prigol; the president of Sindigenders, Volnei Basso; the president of the social committee of the Festa da Uva, Fernando Bertotto; and the president of RS Garanti, Angelo Mestriner.
The night of tributes was animated by musician Samuel Sodré, who received applause from the public.
