This Sunday (12), Achyles Mincarone Square will be transformed into a vibrant stage for local culture, starting at 3pm. The event, known as the Cultural Stage, is an initiative by the Department of Culture to bring art directly to the community. The stage will be occupied by local artists from various disciplines, including dance, music, theater and heritage, highlighting the diversity and richness of Bento Gonçalves’ culture.
This Sunday’s program promises to be diverse and exciting. The opening will be with La Casa Desenvolvimento Musical, which includes a solo performance by Nina Rosa and a performance by the Style Stars Quartet, led by professor Lucas Contini. La Casa is a space dedicated to the development of artists and the promotion of music, with the aim of humanizing the relationship between people and music.
At 4pm, the dance company P1Oito will perform. Founded in 2019 by Lara Balsan and Zeca Baldassari, the company’s mission is to awaken self-knowledge in ordinary people through dance. They offer regular classes focused on basic urban dance techniques and their variants, such as Locking, Wacking, Vogue, Popping, Hip Hop Dance, House Dance, Breaking, Dancehall, Twerk Dance, among others.
At 4:45 pm, Abadá Capoeira will take the stage for a special performance in honor of Black Consciousness Month. Abadá Capoeira is an institution that has existed since 1986 in Brazil and is present in more than 60 countries. In Bento Gonçalves, they have been active since 2002 under the supervision of Luan Lucas de Barba, also known as Professor Cordilheira.
To close the event, the historic band Edzul, formed in 1981, will perform a rare acoustic performance. The band, which is considered the precursor of original Rock and Blues music in Bento Gonçalves, is composed of Mauro Munari on guitar and vocals, Osmar Bottega on drums, Ney Massolini on bass and André Sebem on guitar and main vocals.
In case of bad weather conditions, the event will be transferred.
