Rio Grande do Sul hosts the 18th edition of the Italian Film Festival between November 8th and December 9th. The free sessions will take place in 16 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul with the screening of more than 30 Italian films. The festival has the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Porto Alegre.
The event brings together classic films and new works. Among this year’s new features, there are four feature films that were pre-selected to represent Italy at the 2024 Oscars, including “C’è ancora domani” by Paola Cortellesi and “Grazie Ragazzi” by Riccardo Milani. Among the classics of Italian comedy, films such as “Parenti Serpenti” by Mario Monicelli and “I Nostri Mariti” by Luigi Filippo D’Amico, Dino Risi and Luigi Zampa will be shown. From November 8th, the films will also be available via streaming on an online platform.
