The City of Santa Luzia, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, resumed the mandatory use of masks in health units due to the increase in Covid-19 cases.
According to data from the Municipal Health Department, from October 1st to 15th, 30 cases of the disease were confirmed, while between the 16th and 27th there were 122, which represents an increase of 306%.
The use of masks will also be mandatory for people who are symptomatic or potentially in contact with transmitters, have colds and flu, are unvaccinated or have an incomplete vaccination schedule and are immunosuppressed.
The city hall reinforced that the vaccine against Covid-19 is available in all basic health units, from Monday to Friday, and at the Caribé and São Geraldo health centers, on Saturdays.
In Minas Gerais, this year, 122,276 cases of the disease were confirmed, and 946 people died, according to data from the State Department of Health (SES-MG). In total, the state has 4,202,333 cases and 65,881 deaths from Covid.
