Sicredi Pioneira will host special cultural actions next week. On November 3rd and 4th, the 1st Czech Festival in Brazil and the 12th Czech & Slovak Culture Festival in Latin America will take place. The event is organized by the Association of Bohemian Descendants of Nova Petrópolis (ADIB/NP) and will take place for the first time in Brazil.
The festivals mark the celebration of 105 years since the creation of Czechoslovakia and 15 years of ADIB. There will be workshops, integration between compatriots, exchange of experiences between descendant associations and dissemination of Czech and Slovak culture to the local community and tourists.
On Friday (03/11), at 10 am, there will be a cultural presentation by the group Check Accordion Trio, coming from the Czech Republic, at Espaço Sicredi Feitoria, in São Leopoldo. The meeting will be attended by young musicians from schools and projects in the Feitoria neighborhood, with the aim of promoting exchange with the community.
At Espaço Sicredi Nova Petrópolis, the program also starts on Friday, at 5pm. On Saturday (04/11), it will be from 9am to 5pm. From 7:30 pm, at Sociedade Concórdia de Linha Imperial, there will be the Promenáda Boêmia cultural night. Sunday (05/11) will have actions at Jardim do Moinho and Memorial Amstad. Exhibition “Jewels from the Czech Republic”
Until November 6th, it is possible to visit, at Espaço Sicredi Nova Petrópolis, the exhibition “Jewels from the Czech Republic”. The exhibition brings together natural beauty, cultural monuments and architectural pearls from Czechoslovakia and was brought to Brazil as one of the ways to celebrate ADIB’s 15th anniversary. The photographs are by Czech photographer Libor Sváček. Entry is free and the space is located at Avenida 15 de Novembro, nº 2045.
