Traffic in São Leopoldo will be blocked from this Saturday (21) at different points. There will be sections interrupted on BR-116 and also on Independência, the city’s main street.

On Saturday (21) and Sunday (22), traffic will be interrupted on BR-116 between km 241 and km 243, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. In case of rain, the activity will be postponed. According to the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (Dnit), the blockade is necessary for the implementation of the third lanes on this section of the road.

Closure of the left lane in the interior-capital and capital-interior directions. The right and shoulder lanes remain operational in both directions.

Independência Street with section interrupted
The Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) informs that traffic on Independência Street, the city’s main road, will be blocked from 5am on Monday, October 23rd. The interrupted section will be between Avenida Dom João Becker and Rua Brasil. The closure is scheduled due to the start of modernization and revitalization works at Independência.
