The X Gramado In Concert, which takes place from January 26th to February 3rd, 2024, opened a record number of places for classical music students. 400 young musicians will be selected for instrument classes and collective orchestra practices.
The registration deadline ends on October 31st. Directed by Leandro Libardi Serafim and Allan John Lino, the event is a promotion by Gramado City Hall and carried out by the municipal authority Gramadotur.
According to the director of X Gramado In Concert, Leandro Serafim, 120 places will be allocated for students with accommodation, 140 for students without accommodation, 70 for full scholarship holders and 70 for listeners. “We will have 70 places for scholarship holders, which will be exclusive to Chamber groups and invited Orchestras, in addition to 70 places in the listener category, which guarantees access to classes and group practices as a spectator. In both cases, students will have no cost to participate.
Serafim explains that students selected in the accommodation modality pay R$690 for registration. In the category without accommodation, registration costs R$90. “In addition to the tourist and cultural purpose, the festival has an educational character by providing practical knowledge with renowned Brazilian and foreign teachers for students from Gramado and around the world”, he notes.
The director highlights that those registered will be evaluated by the festival’s team of teachers. According to Serafim, the estimate is that approximately 1,000 students will register. “The CVs and video quality of each enrolled student will be evaluated”, he emphasizes.
