In a fierce match until the last minute, Inter triumphed in the competition and took home the title of the 3rd Gramado Laghetto Under-16 Cup, an event promoted by Gramado City Hall, through the Department of Sports and Leisure. The Inter team defeated Palmeiras in an exciting match that ended with a score of 2-1 at Vila Olímpica Eduardo Tissot, located in Várzea Grande in Gramado.
Inter opened the scoring in the final of the competition with a goal from Matheus Gonçalves, number 9, in the 15th minute of the first half. In the second stage of the game, after a mistake by Palmeiras’ defense, the team from Rio Grande do Sul increased the lead with another goal from Matheus Gonçalves, making it 2 x 0. Palmeiras fought bravely and managed to reduce the difference with a beautiful goal scored by Ítalo Sousa, shirt 20. The final score was 2-1, consecrating Inter as champions.
Lucas Roldo, Secretary of Sports and Leisure, evaluated the competition positively and revealed that other clubs showed interest in participating in the Cup. “We received a lot of positive feedback from the teams, which made us very happy. Gramado is an example for holding an event of such magnitude and representation with the biggest clubs in the country”, said Roldo.
Filipe Sírio, Internacional’s goalkeeper, was highlighted as the least leaked player in the competition. The awards for top scorer and highlight of the final were given to the player Matheus Gonçalves, also from the Colorado team.
