Last Saturday (14/10), a typical sunny spring day, around 18 thousand people, mainly children, gathered for the 2023 edition of the Children’s Festival. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Caxias do Sul, was full of attractions and activities that provided a lot of fun for the little ones and their families.
Joy on Plácido de Castro Street
Plácido de Castro Street, in the Expoção neighborhood, was full of smiles and laughter. The children, accompanied by their parents, uncles, grandparents and other guardians, made the most of the various attractions available.
Proconlândia: A kingdom of inflatables
Among the attractions was Proconlândia, a mini inflatable kingdom with 10 different toys. Marina, seven years old, and Aurora, four years old, for example, couldn’t wait to take advantage of the trampoline installed right in front of the building where their grandfather lives.
Economis: The currency of fun
To participate in activities and workshops, children received Economis notes (fictitious money). These activities were both educational and fun. Children could learn about how a Samu ambulance works or participate in cardboard car races promoted by the Department of Traffic, Transport and Mobility.
Participation of municipal departments
Several departments and agencies of the municipal administration participated in this edition of the Children’s Festival. Each of them promoted activities and tasks related to their respective areas.
Event success
For Caroline Bertelli, coordinator of the Children’s Festival at the Mayor’s Office, the event was a great success. She highlighted that after months of organization, it was possible to deliver an incredible party for the little ones.
