Saturday with a good crowd at the Ernesto Volk – Ernestão Sports Complex, in the Piratini neighborhood, and good games valid for the second round of the 3rd edition of the Gramado Laghetto Under-16 Cup, promoted by Gramado City Hall, through the Sports and Leisure Secretariat. Four games were played in the classification phase of the event. The competition began on Friday, the 13th, and continues until Tuesday, the 17th.
In the first game this morning (14), CE Gramadense faced Atlético-MG. The World Cup host pressed constantly, while the team from Minas Gerais retreated and defended itself from the attacks. Although there was a balance between both teams, Atlético did not miss the opportunities and scored twice in the 30th minute of the first half and in the 9th minute of the second half, with goals from Luiz Otávio, shirt 5, and Vinicius Teixeira, shirt 20. Score final 2 to zero.
In the second game of the round, the confrontation between Juventude and Athlético-PR demonstrated the technical quality of the Gramado Laghetto Cup. With an electrifying match from start to finish, Juventude beat the team from Paraná by a score of four to three, with emphasis on player Rafael Pinna, number 9 of the team from Rio Grande do Sul, who scored three times. They also scored Daniel for Juventude and Gabriel Feitosa, Arthur Dias and Lucas Carvalho for Athlético-PR.
In the early afternoon, for the third match of the second round, Ernestão was the stage for the dispute between Palmeiras and Internacional. In a very disputed and balanced match, the Alviverde team defeated the Colorado boys by a score of one to zero, with a goal from Francisco, shirt number 11. Even suffering the defeat, Internacional put pressure on, but were unable to reverse the score.
To close the round, Flamengo and Grêmio faced each other. With rehearsed plays and good ease on the field, the boys from the vulture’s nest created several goal opportunities, but it was up to Grêmio’s player Vini Ferraz, shirt number 9, to open the scoring. Flamengo, two-time champion of the Copa Gramado, tried to open the scoring and score. A goal was scored, but the red-and-black athlete was offside. Grêmio also wasted a penalty in the last minutes of the game. The final score was one to zero for the tricolor. At the final whistle, there was a brief confusion between the athletes that was resolved by the referee.
The competition continues this Sunday, the 15th, with matches played at the Ernesto Volk – Ernestão Sports Complex, in the Piratini neighborhood. The second round will start at 9:15 am with the game between CE Gramadense and Flamengo, followed by Palmeiras x Juventude, at 11 am. In the afternoon, Atlético-MG will face off against Grêmio, at 2pm, and finally, Internacional x Athlético-PR, at 3:45pm.
The competition’s top scorers at the end of the second round are Rafael Pinna from Juventude and Gabriel Feitosa from Athlético-PR. The least leaked goalkeepers are Bernardo Rocha from Atlético-MG and Mateus Bertolo from Grêmio.
