A 21-year-old woman had complications when she had silicone implants and died in a hospital in Cuiabá, the capital of Mato Grosso, on Wednesday (4).
According to her family, breast enlargement surgery was Júlia Quintino’s biggest dream.
Renata, the young woman’s sister, said that she was very vain, trained every day and led a healthy life. In 2022, the girl underwent liposuction, but, due to an infection, she was unable to fulfill her dream of getting breast implants.
On Saturday (30), the young woman was admitted to the São Geraldo de Juína hospital, a neighboring city in the municipality of Castanheira, where the family lives.
The girl was excited about the procedure and even refused her boyfriend’s request to travel on Saturday, as making her dream come true was her priority.
Renata said that, after surgery, at 1:30 pm, she went to her sister’s room, who was still under the influence of medication. She said that she let Júlia rest, but was overcome by great anguish and returned to the room to see her younger sister.
She reported that she talked to Júlia and asked her sister to wake up. At 6pm, Renata returned to the young woman’s room, who was sedated. Doctors said she was having difficulty breathing.
Júlia suffered two cardiac arrests and ended up dying. The family still does not know what happened to the young woman, as she was in good health and had undergone all pre-operative tests.
The plastic surgeon who operated on Júlia is a doctor trusted by the family, who had already operated on Renata and the young woman’s grandmother, as well as family friends.
Family members are unhappy with the early death of a vain, cheerful and full of life young woman.
On social media, friends and family mourned his death. “I have no words to describe how sad I am. Beautiful girl, polite, friendly, charming, now she is in her father’s arms”, wrote a friend.
“How difficult it is to believe, but I am grateful to God for having had the privilege of being your teacher, friend… there is Julinha… go in peace and with a painful heart, as I say goodbye from here… may God comfort your mother and brothers”, lamented a former teacher of the young woman.
The police must investigate the case.
